Published by the Smithsonian Institute in 1984 this small book is partly a biography of Frank Wootton and partly a critique of some of his major paintings. The first three quarters of the book is a mixture of text and paintings all produced in black and white, at the end of the book is a collection of colour plates.
Condition: This is a first edition softback book in reasonable order. The internal pages are good with no marks and only minimal evidence of handling plus slight yellowing from age. The cover is not so good with some scuffs and creases and indentations where it has been used as a writing support at some point. Overall this is an acceptable example of this title that has some faults and is priced accordingly.
Colour plates: 16
