Piece Of Cake

Background
After being formally trained at Heatherley School of Fine Arts Michael Turner embarked on a career in art, subsequently turning freelance in 1957.  A qualified pilot, Michael has flown in many types of aircraft in order to get first hand experience for input to his artwork.

Equally skilled at motoring subjects he is a founder member of the International Racing Press Association as well as being a founder member and President of the Guild of Aviation Artists

For Collectors
Around 20 of Michael Turner’s images have been reproduced as prints.  Two books have been produced dedicated to Michael’s art work: Royal Air Force - The Aircraft in Service since 1918 and Luftwaffe Aircraft - Paintings by Micheal Turner. The original issues are long since out of print but an updated version of the RAF book has been released by the RAF Charitable Trust Enterprises.

Final Encounter by Michael Turner

Our Favourite
Set against a dramatic skyscape, Final Encounter is a superb composition, finely balanced with neither adversary having the upper hand.

All images copyright Michael Turner.
