Robert Taylor profile

This third volume of Robert Taylor’s aviation art mainly concentrates on paintings completed between 1991 and its publication in 1996. Books one and two covered the artists background in a lot of detail so in this volume there is just a short, one page overview. This is followed by an introduction by Robert where he talks in depth about how he approaches a new painting.

The rest of the book features 28 of Robert Taylor’s most important paintings from the period (only 5 of which are RAF subjects though).  Each has four pages devoted to it that include working sketches, detail shots and narrative by the artist about the painting and aviation art in general. Other complimentary colour images are also included giving a total of some 58 paintings featured. The overall standard of presentation is very high.
